Description
Results are presented of calculations of the backscattered radiation field at the surface of the ICRU sphere as reference phantom and of proposed calibration phantoms MS20 and PMMA as 30 cm sphere, 30 cm cube and 30 x 30 x 15 cm3 slab. For comparison purposes, calculations were also made for phantoms of ICRU tissue as 30 cm cube and 30 x 30 x 15 cm3 slab. The backscattered radiation fields at the surface of 30 x 30 x 15 cm3 slab phantoms are close to those for 30 cm cube phantoms of the same material. (author)
