Sludge utilization and potential isotope source quantities in Europe
Description
The European Community has sludge management problems which are essentially similar to those of the United States. However, the utilization potential, the public response to treatment needs, and the isotope utilization outlook differ from those of the United States. A study by the European Society for Nuclear Methods in Agriculture (ESNMA) is discussed. The study covers 97% of Western Europe and looks at sludge utilization and potential 137Cs resources fom reprocessed reactor fuel through 1990. The plans for a French Beneficial Uses Program is also discussed
