Audit of RCD Orano Recycling La Hague projects: silos 130, 115, HAO/SOC and RCB
Description
This audit report addresses the robustness of the assessment of financial charges related to the take-back and packaging, transport and storage of radioactive wastes contained in four sets of silos located on the Orano site in La Hague. It more particularly considers scenarios adopted for projects of take-back and packaging of wastes, associated agendas, risks and uncertainties, a benchmarking of national and international practices, and the project organisation. It states four main observations (on the complexity of technical and technological challenges, on Orano's progress in the efficiency of project management methods, on the major influence of institutional stakeholders on project implementation, and on the major importance of the strategic project management), and proposes recommendations and points of attention
