Items to be reflected to the measures for securing the nuclear safety in Japan

Description

The Nuclear Safety Commission deliberated on the ''items to be reflected to the measures for securing the nuclear safety in Japan'' reported to it by the subcommittee on reactor safety standards and decided on their employment. The NSC instructed the Committee on Examination of Reactor Safety of utilize them in its examination. The items for safety-securing measures and based on the results of survey on the second report concerning TMI-2 nuclear power accident in the United States. The following matters are described: classification of systems and components important for safety, reliability of reactor and process instrumentation and control systems, systems and components required at the time of accidents, emergency central command station, inflammable gas concentration control system, control room, human credit and single failure, etc. (J.P.N.)
