Synthesis and characterization of some hetro-bimetallic complexes derived from platinum(II) complexes

Attempts to prepare the complex trans-[Pt (CN)2 dppmS-P)2] as starting compound for the synthesis of hetrobimetallic complexes were unsuccessful. Thus treatment of trans-[Pt (CN)2 (dppm-p)2] with sulphur (S8) gave trans-[Pt2 (CN)4 (M-dppm)2] and dppmS2. Treatment of trans-[Pt (CN)2 (dppm-p)2] with H2O2 gave trans-[ Pt (CN)2 (dppmo-p)2]. We prepared complexes of the type Cis-[PtCl2 (dppmo-p)2] and Cis-[PtCl2 (dppeo-p)2] by treatment of K2PtCl4 with two mole equivalents of dppmo or dppeo respectively. (8 tabs., 7 figs., 72 refs.)
