Effects of radiation on high-technology polymers

Description

Recent studies of radiation effects on polymer materials used in structures and components are discussed in reviews and reports. Topics examined include the radiation chemistry of polymers, spectroscopic methods in polymer studies, the photophysics of hydroxyphenylbenzotriazole polymer photostabilizers, and the radiolysis of polycarboxylic acids and model compounds. Consideration is given to polymers for electronics applications, X-ray-sensitive alternating copolymers, the radiation durability of polymeric-matrix composites, and radiation-resistant amorphous all-aromatic poly(arylene ether sulfones)
