The corrosion resistance of stainless steels in acid, neutral and chlorinated media is presented. The influence of surface states on corrosion resistance is studied: surface cleaning, roughness, oxidation, passivation etc..

On presente les differents modes de resistance des aciers inoxydables aux principaux types de corrosion: corrosion en milieu acide, neutre ou chlorure. On etudie ensuite l'influence de l'etat des surfaces sur la resistance a la corrosion: proprete des surfaces, geometrie, oxydation, passivation etc..
