The book turns to the freshment, the teacher, for preparation of ecological topics for lessons, but also to pupils of the secondary stage II, and the main course ecology. The book was knowingly held simple with the restriction to: the ecosystem and its abiotic basic functions, simple articles on population biology, bioceonotic balance ith the questions of niche formation and the life form types coherent with it, of the substance and energy household, the production biology and space-wise and time-wise differentations within an ecological system form the main points. A central role in the volume is given to the illustrations. Their variety is to show and deepen the coherences shown. (orig./HP)

Das Buch richtet sich an den Studienanfaenger, den Lehrer, zur Vorbereitung oekologischer Themen fuer den Unterricht, aber auch den Schueler der Sekundarstufe II mit Leistungskurs 'Oekologie'. Das Buch wurde bewusst einfach konzipiert mit der Beschraenkung auf das Oekosystem und seine abiotischen Grundfunktionen, einfache Betrachtungen zur Populationsbiologie, biozoenotisches Gleichgewicht mit den damit zusammen haengenden Fragen der Nischenbildung und der Lebensformtypen, der Stoff- und Energiehaushalt, die Produktionsbiologie und raeumliche und zeitliche Differenzierungen innerhalb eines Oekosystems bilden die Schwerpunkte. Eine zentrale Stellung nehmen in dem die Band die Abbildungen ein. Durch ihre Vielzahl und Verschiedenheit sollen die aufgezeigten Zusammenhaenge noch einmal verdeutlicht und vertieft werden.
