Local current profile modification in tokamak reactors in various radiofrequency ranges
- 1. Department of Technical Physics, Helsinki Univ. of Technology, Espoo (Finland)
- 2. VTT Energy, Espoo (Finland)
Description
The authors have evaluated the magnitude of localized current modification for intense off-axis RF heating in nearly burning reactor plasmas. The modification consists of the bootstrap current perturbation and of the current driven by RF momentum transfer and asymmetric heating. The results are used in a transport code to study the dynamics of current generation and its response to source frequency tuning. (author)
