Partial reactor simulator at the Mochovce nuclear power plant

The partial reactor simulator for the Mochovce nuclear power plant personnel training will differ from the WWER-440 reactor simulator in Trnava particularly with regard to the fact that the plant control system in Mochovce will be different from that in the preceding Czechoslovak nuclear power plants. This system is based on the state-of-the-art technical means of the decentralized control system DERIS, augmented with Soviet computer units. The partial reactor simulator for the Mochovce nuclear power plant is being developed as a means for supplementary training of operators in the field of the unit control from the main and the reserve control rooms. Two color semigraphic displays and a functional keyboard will be accommodated in the room of the operators trained. The simulation of the activity and behavior of the technological equipment will be real time by means of an SM 52/11.M1 computer. One subsystem from the primary circuit, one from the secondary circuit and one from the electric equipment were chosen for the detailed simulation of the control system functions. These systems include water supply and boron control, the condensation system comprising condensate pumps and vacuum pumps, and a part of the self-consumption supply system. (Z.M.)
