Description
The valence and sea quark parton distributions are calculated for deep inelastic scattering from a one-dimensional Dirac box. The sea contribution corresponds explicitly to the excitation of quark-antiquark pairs from the 'vacuum' within the box. The connection between coordinate-space wave functions and null-plane parton distributions is explicitly given. (author)
