Description
This paper reports the development and fabrication of very small Zamboni batteries. The principle of this battery type is briefly recalled, and the modifications brought to the design are described (they aim at reducing the internal resistance while maintaining some humidity in elements). Various aspects are described: preparation of the electrolyte-depolarising paper, the cutting of elements, and their assembly. Applications are briefly evoked (ionization chambers, handling operations with electrometers). Reprint of a paper published in 'L'Onde Electrique', No. 336-337, March-April 1955
