Iterative procedure as equation of motion
Description
It is shown that any iterative procedure can be treated as an equation of motion corresponding to an autonomous dynamical system. Iterative cascades and flows are defined. The sequence of iterative terms composes a trajectory whose form is governed by a set of governing functions. The latter are given by fixed point conditions. The sought limit of the iterative procedure plays the role of an attractor. 20 refs
