DR21 and associated sources: a review

Creators

  • 1. Mullard Radio Astronomy Observatory, Cambridge, Eng.

Description

DR21 is one of the radio continuum sources contained within the larger source W75. It has been mapped over a wide range of radio frequencies and angular resolutions, besides being studied in the infrared and in a variety of molecular lines, and is also a region of OH and H2O maser activity. With high resolution observations the region is found to contain a whole complex of different objects, whose properties may be interpreted as representing the various stages in an early evolutionary sequence. 8 figs., 33 refs
