Survey and review of near-field performance assessment

Creators

  • 1. Pacific Northwest Lab., Richland, WA (United States)

Description

Sorption models for radionuclides from waste repositories are overviewed. Distribution coefficients for traces of an aqueous phase are described by transport models. Isotherm absorption models; simple mass-action models (e.g.; ion exchange), and surface-complexation models (like the Diffusion Layer Model, the Constant Capacitance Model and the Triple Layer Model) are discussed.
