Phase composition and structures of alloys of RCo5 type with alloying elements
Description
The structure of alloys SmCo5 where cobalt was partially replaced by Al, Mn Ni and Cu was studied. In the temperature interval 1500 to 500 deg C alloy SmCo4Al1 has a single-phase structure type CaZn5. Alloys CeCosub(4)Alsub(1.5) and CeCosub(3.5) AlCusub(1.5) consist of two phases at the same temperature interval. One phase has a FCC-crystal structure and another - CaZn5. Alloys SmCosub(3)Nisub(2.5) and CeCo3Ni3 at 1000 and 500 deg C are of single-phase and have structure of the CaZn5 type. At 500 deg C alloy CeCo2Ni2Cu2 decomposes into two phases with the same CaZn5 structure but with different periodicities a and c. In addition, a limiting solubility of copper in SmCosub(5-x)Cusub(x) at temperatures of 1000, 700 and 500 deg C was determined
