Description
Solid fuel molten salt reactor is a new type of reactor, which has the unique characteristics of the design of its core, such as the problem of the double heterogeneity, the uncertainty of the coolant, the complexity of the geometrical structure, so the traditional for LWR and other type of reactor core steady-state nuclear design program does not necessarily apply in the molten salt reactor, at present, the design program of the reactor core has not been verified to ensure the effectiveness of its application in solid fuel molten salt reactor. In this paper, a systematic study of the neutron phenomena in the thorium molten salt reactor core is presented, the characteristics of these program are summarized, and the corresponding conclusions are given.
