Spectrum of elementary Fermi excitations in a quark-gluon plasma
Description
The properties of nuclear matter at high temperatures and densities which exist in collisions of relativistic nuclei are investigated. It is assumed that a hot quark-gluon plasma is formed which then condenses into secondary particles. The spectrum of quark-like excitations of such a plasma is considered for the case of massless quarks. It is shown that there is a mass slitting in the spectrum, with two branches of an optical nature. An expression is obtained which can be used to analyze experimental data on collisions of relativistic nuclei, and also to analyzed processes occurring in the early evolution of the Universe. The results are also applicable to an electron-photon plasma
