Runaway effect accompanying adiabatic magnetic compression of a plasma

Description
Formation of nonthermal particles during adiabatic magnetic compression of completely ionized plasma is considered. Simple solutions of kinetic equation which agree with results of numerical solutions are obtained. Some general regularities in behaviour of distribution function and its integral characteristics in the process of magnetic compression are derived
