Description
The relativistic effect on elastic electron scattering by atoms have been represented by an equivalent potential appeared in scattering equation. Combining with the exchange potential obtained in former works, the cross sections of low-energy electron (0.1-30 eV) scattering by Ar, Kr, Xe and Rn have been calculated. It is indicated that the influence of the relativistic effect increases with the increasing of atomic number. The results with the relativistic effect are in good agreement with the experiments. And it is also indicated that the exchange potential used by present work is successful
