Preliminary analysis of shielding characteristics of possible materials for the RB reactor shielding design

Description
The analysis of shielding properties of some materials will serve as a starting point in a choice of specific shielding material for the RB reactor at Nuclear Engineering Laboratory-NET in Boris Kidric Institute of Nuclear Sciences in Vinca. To determine gamma, fast and thermal shielding properties of this materials a series of attenuation (and spectroscopy) measurements has began. Experimental results are compared with corresponding calculation ones using shielding computer codes. (author)
