Stress calculation for the contact of the support cylinder body with the pressure vessel flange
Description
A check calculation was performed for the attachment of the support cylinder body to the pressure vessel flange. The following effects were taken into account: static strength with respect to the prescribed stress categories, pressure deformation at the site of contact of the cylinder body with the flange, and dynamic effects of pressure pulses of the bypassing fuel. The SYSTUS code based on the finite element method was employed. The stress in selected sections was analyzed with respect to the static strength as per the INTERATOMEHNERGO standard. The requirement of the standard is in all cases met with a sufficient margin. The calculation was performed for Russian fuel. (J.B). 5 tabs., 12 figs., 5 refs
