Method of processing radioactive wastes
Description
Purpose: To mix waste resins generated from a radioactive substance processing installation in radioactive detergent liquid wastes, and pulverize the mixture wastes, thereby to increase the volume reducting ratio, prevent foaming to prevent the lowering of the decontamination factor, and simplify the processing system. Constitution: Radioactive detergent liquid wastes are passed through an ejector by means a pump. Upon this occasion, by the operation of the ejector spent ion-exchange resins stored in a separation tank are sucked up and mixed, and then introduced in a tank, The mixture solution is stirred in a stirrer to cause a surfactant in the liquid wastes to be adsorbed to the resin, and thereafter transferred to a centrifugal film drier, and pulverized and dried.
