Description
MONTE-1 is an experimental device developed for testing various detection systems in real gamma fields produced by fission radionuclides emerging during reactor accidents. Since such real photon fields cannot be practically created by using commercially available radionuclides, fuel elements with various 235U enrichments irradiated in the VR-1 training reactor were used for this purpose and placed on the MONTE-1 testing device.
