Radiative decays of hyperons in QCD
Description
The amplitudes of the Σ+ → pγ, Ξ- → pγ, and Ω- → Ξ-γ decays are calculated making use of the QCD sum rules. The sum rule method allows to explain the observed large value Br(Σ+ → pγ) ∼ 10-3 and large negative magnitude of the asymmetry parameter α(Σ+ → pγ) ∼ -1. Predictions for the Ξ- and Ω- decay probabilities are an order lower than the experimental upper bounds
