Study of photofission using microtron facility

Description
Fission fragment angular distribution of 238U target irradiated by variable energy microtron based Bremsstrahlung radiation was measured by using the SSNTD, lexan polycarbonate detector. The photon intensity estimated 1010 ph/sec by using EGS-4 code. In this paper, details of fission fragment angular distribution measurements of 238U target using Lexan polycarbonate would be discussed. A detailed comparison shows good agreement between experimentally measured results and theoretical predictions. (author)
