Description
Different measuring techniques are reviewed to determine the relaxation times in vibrational energy transfer at atom-molecule and molecule-molecule collisions; ultrasonic sound absorption, the use of shock waves and fluorescence methods are discussed. Some experimental results on methane and deuterated methane are given. Relaxation times for CH4 mixed with a series of other gases are tabulated
