Description

An ultrasonic transducer is described for use in a liquid metal environment, comprising piezo-electric material having a metallic coating which is bonded to a nickel diaphragm with lead. The piezo-electric material is lead zirconate titanate, and the metallic coating for the piezo-electric material is of silver. (author)
