106 pictures with a neutrino track sensitive target
Description
The advantages are discussed of the use of track sensitive targets (TST) in high energy neutrino interaction experiments. With such equipment it is possible to combine γ-ray and electron detection with simple targets. The target for BEBC is described and the restrictive thermodynamic conditions for simultaneous track sensitivity both inside and outside the TST considered. The advantages of BEBC with TST are enumerated and projected improvements in the basic TST design listed. (U.K.)
