Pyrolysis of hydrates of U(IV) and U(VI) sulfate - a reinvestigation
Creators
- 1. Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Bombay (India). Reactor Chemistry Section
Description
The thermal decomposition of U(SO4)2.4H2O and UO2SO4.3H2O was studied in different atmospheres. The sample size and surrounding atmosphere significantly affects the TG curve. In both cases the residue on pyrolysis is UOsub(x)(1 < x < 2) at 1010K. (author)
