On the thermal structure of the flare-produced plasma

Creators

  • 1. University Coll., London (UK). Dept. of Physics

Description

Recent flare studies have shown that soft X-ray data are not compatible with simple isothermal models of the source. With this in mind, the emitting flare plasma has been represented by a temperature-emission measure distribution function, zeta(T)dT, suggested by results obtained by the author using simple delta-function representations for zeta(T).
