Optical anisotropy of layered structures based on MoS2

Description
A series of MoS2 layered flakes samples with 1-10 μm thickness is studied, in which a strong optical anisotropy is observed, which can be explained by the influence of stress or shear deformation. It is found that the intensity of transmitted light in crossed polarization reaches a maximum when the incident light is polarized along a certain axis. The degree of circular polarization of the transmitted light is also different from zero

Изучена серия образцов слоистых чешуек MoS2 толщиной 1-10 мкм, в которой наблюдалась сильная оптическая анизотропия, которую можно объяснить влиянием напряжения или деформации сдвига. Обнаружено, что интенсивность проходящего света в скрещенной поляризации достигает максимума, когда падающий свет поляризован вдоль определенной оси.
