Description
The influence of initial annealing of the 45 steel with protective coatings in metal liquids on the steel strength is analyzed. The effect of initial, substrate material, surface strengthening and the protective coating kind on the steel properties at elevated temperature is also analyzed. On the basis of the stretching test results and fractographic examinations, it has been found that two-constituent cadmium-zinc protective coatings considerably lower the strength and plasticity indexes of the 45 steel used as the substrate.
