Description
The concentration of natural gamma emitting 238U, 232Th and 40K radionuclides in beach sediments along north east coast of Tamilnadu India have been carried out using a NaI(Tl) gamma ray spectrometric technique with an aim of evaluating radiation hazards to mankind. To assess the radiological hazards of coastal sediments, the absorbed and annual effective dose equivalence are calculated. The results of this study can be used as a baseline for future research.
