Description

Through the past results and experience gained in Japan, we analyzed and evaluated the sodium leakage from SNR-300 tanks as overseas trouble cases, and then assumed the causes. At the same time we have shown that several of the assumed factors have been eliminated, and cracking will not occur in the case of sodium vessel made of carbon steel for 'MONJU'. In addition, we have confirmed experimentally that even if some factors happen to remain, no cracking will occur. Thus, we wish to report them here. (J.P.N.)
