Vertex tagging of b quarks and the Z0 → b fraction

Description
Z0 → b anti b events are selected with a method that examines the impact parameter significances of charged tracks in an event. Using this efficient selection technique, and good Monte Carlo simulations, one can model the branching fraction of Z0 → b quarks. The effectiveness of this method has been examined with Monte Carlo data that include the new drift chamber vertex detector simulation package. 4 references, 2 figures, 2 tables
