Description
For a scintillator detector used for gamma spectrometry, the generation, transport and detection of optical photons have a great impact on the energy spectrum resolution. A Monte Carlo simulation of Na(TI) and LaBr:Ce3+ scintillator detect 662 keV γ-ray has been implemented with Geant4 toolkit to simulate accurately energy resolution of scintillator detector. The reliability and rationality of this simulation is confirmed by comparing with the measurements. The code of simulation can be used as development tool for the design of scintillator detectors.
