This work is going on in parallel MAN-NT and NUKEM according to different procedures. MAN works in closed circuit with low water vapor concentrations. At NUKEM, an excess of reaction gas is used in an open system coated. Zusammenfassung: Der vorliegende Bericht beschreibt den Stand der Arbeiten zur Entwicklung und Charakterisierung von Schichten zur Reduzierung der Tritiumpermeation. Diese Arbeiten verlaufen parallel bei MAN-NT und NUKEM nach verschiedenen Verfahren. MAN arbeitet im geschlossenen Kreislauf mit geringen Wasserdampfkonzentrationen. Bei NUKEM wird mit Überschuß an Reaktionsgas in einem offenen System beschichtet. Der ursprünglich vorgesehene Zeitplan wurde im Herbst 1978 aktualisiert, da neben administrativen Verzögerungen auch ein Wechsel des Referenzmaterials von Incoloy 802 auf Hastelloy X vorgenommen werden mußte. Aufgrund der dadurch verzögerten Materialbeistellung können die experimentellen Arbeiten erst im Jahre 1979 beginnen.
