Measurement of the dose distribution around patients injected during different scintigraphic procedures: about 145 patients

  • 1. Centre Hospitalier Universitaire, 67 - Strasbourg Hautepierre (France)

Description

To take care for medical attention or examinations of injected patients for scintigraphy poses the problem of dose equivalents received the medical personnel. In order to reply in a rational way to hospital personnel giving care to these patients, measures of dose distribution have been realized around 145 injected patients in the frame of diagnostic examinations (scintigraphy) during the period from june to july 1997 in the service of nuclear medicine. From these measurements, the dose equivalents have been calculated in the more frequent care situations. The work was limited to the only risk of internal exposure. (N.C.)
