Dispersion of plasma waves in a finite magnetic field (ωH>ωρ)
Creators
Description
The dispersive properties of plasma waves and their behavior are studied for the case in which the ratio of the electron gyrofrequency to the plasma frequency is finite. The treatment is carried out for three models: an oblique wave in an unbounded magnetized plasma; a cylindrical metal waveguide completely filled with magnetized plasma; and a tubular plasma waveguide. The results obtained in these models are compared. 19 refs., 9 figs
