Recent revelations of infrared astronomy
Description
A survey is presented of recent studies of astronomical objects emitting energy in the infrared. The topics of interest covered are: I, Protostars, and whether such forming stars have yet been observed; II, The condensation and composition of solid particles in the galaxy; III, The physical processes of the radiation mechanism of extragalactic sources; IV, Peculiar sources from the lambda = 2μ survey of Neugebauer and Leighton and from the lambda = 4μ, 11μ, 20μ survey of Walker and Price.
