Description
The development of high-temperature superconductors is outlined with emphasis on its chemical aspects. Attention is paid particularly to the relation between their structure and superconducting properties. Based on data available, a qualitative physico-chemical model of high-temperature superconductivity is suggested taking into account all structural properties of high-temperature superconductors.
