Fundamental knowledge about radiation exposure

Description
A pre-deployment briefing on radiation exposure has been offered for the Japan Air Self-Defense Force personnel who dispatched for the nuclear disaster relief of Fukushima Daiichi Power Station accident following the devastating earthquake and tsunami that struck Tohoku region on March 11, 2011. Based on the pre-deployment briefing, we summarized the fundamental knowledge including the radiation exposure, biological effects and risks of radiation exposure, current regulatory dose and exposure limits, protection methods, and radiation measurements, etc. (author)
