Hepatic ASGP receptor image of 99mTc-NGA in normal rabbit

  • 1. Jiangsu Inst. of Nuclear Medicine, Wuxi (China). National Laboratory of Nuclear Medicine

Description

Galactosyl-neo-glyco-albumin (NGA) is a specific ligand of asialo-glycoprotein receptor (ASGPR) in hepatocyte surface. The imaging comparison of 99mTc-NGA and 99mTc-HSA in normal rabbit imaging are reported. 99mTc-HSA generated a blood pool image when injected into normal rabbit, while 99mTc-NGA showed a hepatic receptor image characteristics. If rabbit hepatic receptor had been saturated with 100 times amounts of NGA, 99mTc-NGA would generate a blood pool imaging similar to 99mTc-HSA. Flow cytometry (FCM) analysis with FITC-NGA also showed that ASGPR could be obviously saturated. Therefore, 99mTc-NGA is a hepatic receptor image agent
