Description
The ITER project should not begin before fifteen years, time necessary to realize the different works on the Cadarache site. Why this energy has been chosen?The fuels, deuterium and lithium are abundant, there is no major risk, no accumulation of waste at long time. Other element for an energy source its high energy power: a gram of fusion products is equivalent to eight tons of petroleum. ITER is the last physics step before the demonstration (30 years) and the prototype (50 years). (N.C.)
