Mass measurements of short-lived nuclei by means of Qβ determination
Description
Masses of short-lived nuclei are usually determined by indirect measurements by means of maximum energy of beta decay (Qβ). The response function of the used HPGe detector is prepare and the energy calibration of the detector is performed with 35Cl (n,γ) 36Cl reaction. Neutron-excessive short-lived nuclei of Cs. La, Pr and Pm are separated from fission products of 235U (n,f) reaction with KUR-ISOL and neutron-deficient nuclei of Cs and La are obtained with JAERI-ISOL. Their Q(β) values are measured and reported. (T.H.)
