Application areas of the TLD-O4B thermoluminescent dosemeter
Description
In the first part of the article the phenomenon of thermoluminescency is discussed, then the possible applications of the TLD-O4B evaluation instrument developed at the Central Research Institute for Physics are detailed. Some applications of the dosemeter in space research, personal dosimetry, medical dosimetry, environment control and in archeology are described. The reliability of the dose measurements carried out by the TLD-O4B equipment is illustrated by the results of international comparative measurements. (author)
