Monte Carlo estimation of dose from internal sources of photons in a anthrapomorphic model of human body

Description

To estimate the dose from a source of photons within the body, attempts are made to model the body and its principal organs approximately, taking into account their sizes, shapes, compositions and densities. Monte Carlo Method is used. Using this technique it is attemped to computer represents 'histories' of photons originating in the source. At each point of interaction it is determined the type of interaction, the energy loss in the tissue and the new direction of the photon using the well established laws of physics
