X-ray and photoelectron spectroscopic studies into electronic structure of Ce-Ni system compounds
Description
X-ray and photoelectron spectroscopic studies into electronic structure of CeNi, CeNi2, CeNi3, CeNi7 and CeNi5 compounds are carried out. NiL1.2-, NiKβ2.5-, NiM2.3- and CeN4.5 X-ray emission bands; CeN4.5- quantum yield spectra; X-ray photoelectron spectra of skeleton Ce3d- and Ce4d-levels are studied. The character of spectrum variation indicates that in compounds charge transfer from Ce to Ni takes place. A qualitative consideration of possible formation of intermediate valency is carried out
