Aim: Iterative reconstruction can make practical, dramatic, very low cost, diagnostic improvements in all SPECT scans, everyday, if used correctly. This talk is designed to show you how. Method: The essential use of collimator modelling. How to tailor your acquisition to make the most of reconstruction with the right pixel size, zoom and number of stops. The differences between the different types of reconstruction and how each should be used. Picking the right number of iterations for count rate and system resolution. Selecting the right numbers of subsets for reconstruction time and minimising artefacts. Choosing the type and extent of smoothing isotopic and anisotropic for a wide variety of clinical scans will be examined
